Ministerial Directions
While the Resort Management has been created as a statutory authority, it is responsible directly to the Minister for Environment, Land, Water and Planning for a range of statutory responsibilities.
Ultimately, the Minister is responsible for Crown Land management and delegates authority to the Resort Management to carry out the Government Policy for the Alpine Resorts' use of Crown Land.
The Resort Management undertakes to adopt best practices in all activities, and reports to the Minister via a Corporate Plan and Annual Report. The Board is also committed to comply with the directions of the Minister for Finance. All plans, reports and directions can be viewed and/or downloaded below.
Strategic Management Plans
The Alpine Resorts (Management) Act 1997, requires the Resort Management to prepare strategic management plans and to review these plans as directed by the Minister.
