Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resorts are preparing to participate in an exciting collaboration with our northern Victorian alpine resort neighbours having successfully obtained a $20,000 grant from the Victorian state government to eliminate coffee cup waste.
Single use coffee cups are a significant percentage of the waste stream and are not currently recyclable. The project will investigate alternative options for single use coffee cups, including compostable cups and reusable mug libraries. The project will take into consideration the needs and challenges of visitors and businesses operating at the alpine resorts and will be implemented in the 2022 snow season.
